The Art of Social Engineering

June 25 | The Hague

Social engineering: the art of convincing people to open doors they were supposed to keep closed. It combines human behavior, trust, timing, confidence and creativity. A lot of people have fallen victim to it, but what is it like from an attacker point of view?

In this session, we explore the many faces of social engineering: from phishing campaigns and OSINT-driven reconnaissance to physical penetration testing methods and the psychology behind why these attacks work so incredibly well.

Our speakers, Francisco Dominguez (CTO) and Britt van den Berg (Strategic Threat Intelligence Analyst), will dive into what's it like to break into environments where one half of the challenge is technology... and where the other half is people.

Expect an evening filled with real-world examples, surprising tactics, uncomfortable truths, and a fascinating look into how attackers think, improvise, adapt, and ultimately earn trust they were never supposed to receive.

And if someone asks you to hold the door on your way in… maybe think twice.
