Are you the responsible rebel we are looking for?
The most dangerous person is the one who listens, thinks and observes.
Hunt & Hackett helps European companies prevent, detect and respond to today’s most advanced adversaries, safeguarding them against cyberthreats and espionage. We don’t stir a bit into security strategies; our talented team of responsible rebels shakes them up to build, operate and maintain digital immune systems for our customers to outsmart their digital adversaries.
To extend our multidisciplinary team we are now hiring a Junior Strategic Threat Intelligence Analyst. Are you a student and are you looking for a parttime job, or for a short break from your studies? Do you have a background in criminology, international relations, geopolitics, political science, or history and an interest in the cyber domain? Are you being in the zone while writing well structured, readable and nicely illustrated texts? Are you the Bob Ross for Cyber Threat Landscapes? Do you belong to the most talented group of Strategic Intelligence Analyst in the industry – or is this where you plan to be? Then Hunt & Hackett might be the best next step in your career.
Junior Strategic TI Analyst at Hunt & Hackett
At Hunt & Hackett we believe in the power of Threat Modeling and that such a practice is vital to an organizations defenses. Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) actors have their preferences. If an organization is known to be active in an industry of interest to APT-actor groups, such as life sciences, technology or high-tech manufacturing, CISOs face an immensely challenging threat landscape. The only way to win this battle is to understand who and what you are facing. Who are your adversaries? What are they after? What are their preferred methods of attack? Or, as the ancient Chinese general Sun Tzu once said: "Know thy enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles, you will never be defeated. When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and of yourself, you are sure to be defeated in every battle." In our world of cybersecurity we call this approach ‘Threat Modelling’. This approach is adversary-driven and at the heart of how we at Hunt & Hackett enable CISOs around Europe to outsmart their digital adversaries.
As a Junior Strategic Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for performing threat modelling exercises for our customers and work closely together with our operational Threat Intelligence Analysts. Next to that, you will be writing blogpost and publications about the threat landscape for specific sectors and industries. Additionally, it might be possible that you write occasionally a (public) advisory on an emerging threat in case something large happens with huge consequences for the world within the cyber domain.
At Hunt & Hackett we are not looking for strategic fluffers who only like to philosophize about geopolitics and international relations. As an analyst you know how to make the strategic intelligence actionable for our customers and the greater public. You put this in practice by writing concise texts, understandable by everyone instead of just yourself and you work closely together with our designer to translate complex concepts in easy to understand illustrations.
