To extend our multidisciplinary team we are now hiring a Data scientist / Developer. Are you thorough by default and pragmatic when needed? Do you like to explain to your friends how your piece of code found the Russian adversary in the terabytes of event data? You know that Pandas are more than just black- and white coloured fluffy animals? Data science is a core competency and focus within Hunt & Hackett and not just an ingredient of our marketing storyline. We believe that modern cyber security and catching bad guys requires data science in order to build, operate and maintain a digital immune system. This gives the power to our clients to safeguard their organization against cyber-attacks. To do this we collect (big)data and use our tradecraft to create (real-time) insights that guide our actions in order to secure our customers.

Hunt & Hackett is currently in start-up phase. This means that you work highly independently and no one needs to explain to you what needs to be done. You have experience with properly processing large amounts of data and developing code around this. You do this by applying the latest software development and architectural paradigms, which ultimately gives you warm and fuzzy feelings. Your standard modus operandi is developing robust, high quality, reusable and production-level source code. However, you have a pragmatic attitude as well and nothing is stopping you if you are in a situation that requires direct patching code in a production environment.

You have architectural capabilities and like to glue things together, ranging from internal business processes to individual systems, applications and API’s. In practice this means that next to your innovative projects, you support internal processes related to Incident Response, Threat Intelligence and our Cyber Defense Center.

Furthermore, you might be interested in Hunt & Hackett because you like the company name, or having an office close to the beach. However, we are not yet another company and we would like to see that next to your passion for data science and software development, you have an interest as well in finding bad stuff and contributing to safeguarding our society.
